Good to know. How many did you buy?

Oh Well Done. Please may I ask but how many did you buy and are they all intended for you? You did do well and no faff going off to some supermarket.

Have a great flight to LAS!

You'd have been arguing for paying 59p with a Ł1.00 discount,

yes that’s what I found too at the same WH Smith. No boxes anywhere.

I don't know what a peppermint cream is but I'll be on the lookout later this month as it seems like something the missus will enjoy

A wild guess would be Boots or WH Smith - can you give them a call? They have quite extensive snack sections. I've definitely gotten stashes of British snacks at those locations post-security when departing.

I see from your FT profile that you are U.S. based; have you tried Junior Mints? I hear that they are very refreshing.

A new British delicacy to try... one can only hope they are better than, ugh, Smarties.

Love these! If you are in the US, there is a Scottish bakery here in the Detroit area that sells them. They also do mail order.

I’ve seen them in the shop at the U.K. pavilion in Disney Epcot , Orlando, alongside other U.K. delicacies such as cadburys curly wurly and tunnocks caramel wafers at vastly inflated prices

I would just stick with Peppermint Patties if US based.
Pretty cheap in Target etc. Got loads from the Flashship lounge at JFK a while ago.

Can't say I've bought anything Frys wise since the 80s. Obviously someone still buys them as they keep going.

Not sure how different After Eight mints would be?

Is one allowed to take foodstuffs such as these though US customs? I thought there were restrictions on doing so, or is that just fresh meat and dairy?

I think you can take chocolate and “candy” through but you need to declare it or else suffer a fine and “other penalties”. Cancellation of GE was one such mentioned…

I’m so paranoid I won’t even travel with mints!
