Club Suites on 788

Not seen it mentioned, but looking on EF there appears to be a new configuration for the 788. This is showing club suites with 32J and 37W.

This is a flight in December, so not sure when it will launch.

Earliest I have spotted is Sunday 26th November. Could also be on other routes but not investigated.

Not a criticism as who knew what the past three years would bring, but I found it interesting looking at the original CS rollout schedule which was part of the 2019 Capital Markets Day presentation.

By now most of the 788s were scheduled to be completed along with most of the 789s. Oh yeah, the 777-9s should have been flying by now as well!

BA IT giving it a nice styling with those seats on the right looking like they'll have a good view from the wing

Nice spot!

Taking Dec 10th as random check on usual B788 routes - I can see YUL & BWI appear to be scheduled to get the first B788’s with CS on a relatively consistent basis (for now!)

Yes, the first scheduled 787-8 Club Suite service is to Baltimore on 30 October.

A real increase in Premium Economy seats compared to the old configuration 35/25/154

Can’t wait for the “my 788 was swapped out and now I’ve got crappy seats” threads

The 787–9 will also start to receive Club Suite later on this year.

Into a planned configuration of:
8F (~)
38J (-4)
39W (~)
130Y (+3)

Total = 215 (-1)

The A350 aisles are already very tight in the club cabin. From a quick google search, the internal width of a 787 is almost 20cm narrower. How are they going to deal with that? Narrower seat? Angle it differently? Even narrower aisle?

Or one row on the outside of the cabin, as currently indicated
