On the BA 108 which departs Dubai at 1335, should the menu not have said lunch rather than dinner, before afternoon tea??

On a long haul flight few days before Christmas, so technically applies to the closed 2022 thread, my soup starter was served in a Mug, as they hadn't loaded the soup bowls onto the aircraft!

Broccolint sounds delicious! Broccoli found beside the seat, carefully left by the cleaners?

I presume OCS software has created some interesting new foods.. (thanks as ever for sharing C-W-S)

BA57 LHR/JNB 4th January
We took off at 2139. First drinks served at 2210 and dinner at 2230.

Salmon starter was very nice and three selections of bread. Butter was rock hard.

I had the beef and to be honest it felt a bit gelatinous so I didn’t eat much. I hadn’t been that hungry anyway. My husband loved the chicken but his neighbour thought it awful! We neither had puddings. Nor did we have any breakfast. Great crew and a smooth flight.

Apologies that the pics aren’t great.

I haven’t posted the menu as it has already been covered above -
Wonderful and proactive crew; had a great chat with the CSM who I recognized from our flight from NCE upto LHR last week.
Drinks and menu choices were taken prior to take-off which really sped up the lunch service.

I had the salmon tartare and the short rib of beef - both were very nice though as mentioned, the beef was tender, by a little fatty.

I had the very drinkable Chilean Pinot Noir - I asked if it were possible to have both a dessert and cheese which was served with a smile. The chocolate pudding was very-moreish and it was nice to have a variety of cheeses at last -

Before settling in to watch Top Gun-Maverick, I asked for a coffee and brandy - unfortunately, none was on board with only Cointreau and Bailey’s. I was asked if a single malt would suffice and was rewarded with an obscene glassful

For the ‘light meal’ prior to landing, I was expecting the afternoon tea, but were offered the quiche and crème caramel - overall a much better meal coupled with wonderful service.

Also, what would the second meal be on the Orlando route? Thanks.
we flew LGW to MCO last week (29th) , as others said the second meal is a rather small afternoon tea. Photo and menus below. The Victoria sandwich would have sunk a battleship so was left untouched.

apologies for the photo quality - the meals were ok, nothing great. My hubby opted for the sticky toffee pudding which apparently was very good. I asked if I could have dessert and cheese if there was sufficient however I was informed it is an either or option so I stuck with the cheese.
