BA 2156 ANU-LGW 8 June

Anyone know the reason for the overnight delay of this flight? The feeder flight arrived only 20 mins late into ANU and has now left for the round trip to Aruba. Gone from a 21:25 departure to 09:00 tomorrow. ( I'm not on it, but people in same hotel are ). Crew issues?

Maybe crew related.

LGW / ANU went from 5x weekly to 4x weekly this week with the Wednesday flights dropping off.

Strange coincidence?
Both are TECY, aircraft serviceability.

Several LCY flights cancelled today, advice?

Anything going on in LCY today? I'm flying into LCY with KL. Was supposed to fly back to FRA on BA8736 and BA just cancelled, not mentioning a reason.

Currently waiting at emigration in AMS and noticing on the board that BA has cancelled AMS-LCY as well.

The rebooking link in the cancellation mail gives an error.

Edit: transfer desk in AMS responsible for BA is unstaffed right now.

It's usually crew shortage which is the issue at LCY, ditto LGW. LHR tends to be more equipment shortage.

There is a specific thread for finding out the reasons for flight cancellations and that's usually the best place for these sorts of enquiries.

So, great, the earliest alternative BA offers is on June 12. That is just beyond ridiculous. This is in Club Europe.

as it stands there is one seat on LH915 5.30pm out of LHR or LH1523 6pm out of LGW. With some nudging the BA call centre will put you on either of those, otherwise LH flights in the morning are quite open so one of those then you'd need to hotel at LHR tonight which BA will pay for + meals (no alcohol) and transport

Thanks. May I ask two last follow-ups. Sry, still relatively new to this.

1.) I got the call center to rebook me on LHR-STR on June 10. No confirmatiom mail. But could do OLCI with the original booking code. Looks good except BP say e-ticket - no coupon. Not to worry, right?

2.) More critically, how do I go about the hotel. Do I just book one myself and ask for a refund later?
