This got cancelled during the day:
BA183 JFK - B772, the late NYC service.

Thursday 10 August 2023
BA9176 LGW -B772, hopefully not too many people disrupted
BA283 LAX - A35K - I would assume claimable
Otherwise 332 BA departures from LHR today.
183 and 283 both FCRY.

Delayed so not canx. Reason due to failed Air starter that was required to start engines as G-TTNG’s APU is inoperative. So in essence a TD or aircraft defects delay but listed as GS for ground support/Equiptment.

Just wondering if anything has come up on this yet as a reason?

I assume any claim for EC261 will have to be made after the rescheduled flight has been taken? Then I will know the actual delay in arrival (looks like around 5 hours from originally booked time).

Just got the cancellation notice for BA 284 SFO-LHR on 11 August part of a SFO-LHR-DXB return. Anyone know why? How long do I have to rebook?

I was due to be on tomorrow’s outbound BA285, which was cancelled earlier this evening. Not clear why.

The 115 LHR - JFK became the 172. 115 was delayed as G-STBM had originally been assigned to BA 269 of the 30th and was reallocated late on to 115 due to lighting defects on the original allocated aircraft G-STBJ. This led to delays in getting the aircraft ready at short notice and arranging cleaning/catering etc etc.
I imagine the issues over check-in and the fids are more of an AA/Local Port Authority NY IT, infrastructure issue.

In the mean time some fantastic tailwinds due to the Polar Jet being far more south than we’d like is leading to a flight time of 5:28 so time is being made up. B48 to park and should arrive at 0948, some 48 minutes late.
My wife and I were on this flight after our EWR flight was canceled. We got back from London late last night and am starting the claim form for the Uber from EWR to JFK. As a very big positive, BA upgraded us from WT+ to Club World so in the end it worked out very nicely for us despite the 2 hour Uber ride and check-in chaos. The lounge access to relax during the delayed departure was fantastic.

Not sure if anyone else is on tonight's BA170 from PIT to LHR. Boarded around 2140 for a 2145 departure. It is now 0115 and we are still parked at the gate due to a "paperwork issue." Captain says the flight may end up getting cancelled.

I see you got away eventually. The delay is listed as a technical one and related to issues with headsets in the flightdeck and then an issue with the manual that allows dispatch when alternatives are used and the aircraft technical log.

Would be interested/useful to know the 'official' reason for the delay to BA218 dep Denver 11th August arr Heathrow 12th. Whilst only in the order of 25 mins - it has meant a missed connection and a 4 hour (so far) delay to final destination. On board Captain initially said waiting for ATC Clearance, later changed to Flight Planning Issues - also notable that boarding didnt start until T-15 so departure was never going to be on time.

Would someone be able to advise why BA2765 is cancelled tonight please (12th Aug) AMS>LGW? It was shown as running an hour late earlier in the afternoon.

Coincidentally this is the second Saturday in a row the flight has been cancelled

thanks so much in advance
