BA mime on staff?

We’re delayed at the gate almost an hour. There are lots of kids around because it’s the holidays. So BA sent us…a mime. Complete with security name badge. There’s another flight delayed nearby so he’s wandered off with his imaginary coffee.

Not a problem at all. I just thought it was unusual. Might save them a few service recovery avios?

Does he normally work in the call centre?

I am surprised no one has yet reported the BA staff dressed up as santa and a helper wandering around T5 over the last few days.

with the flight planning system disaster he'd probably be mobbed by BA passengers wanting some chance of reaching their destination on his sleigh!

You were lucky, mimes are quiet. Southwest recently gave each passenger on a Hawaii-bound flight a ukulele and had a ukulele instructor on board to give lessons. There could not have been enough liquor on board to drown out that cacophony.

I'm flying on Christmas day for the first time ever and am a little bit excited about what BA can do to make it a bit more special (in a good way, not delays and cancellations please!).

I like the Father Christmas and elves idea, very safe. I would love to have a mime artist approach my mother though, she would have none of it.

You're lucky it wasn't the former BCAL and being piped onboard.
