I have flown both of these admittedly on a flight to North America much shorter than Australia probably only a quarter of the time. I found I prefer 77W with its new seats and entertainment. Also my experience was on a daytime flight not a flight that travels over two nights.

After only recently trumpeting the arrival of Club Suites on the SYD/LHR route, the chopping and changing and return to old CW will be a disappointment to many down here, though most colleagues have long since switched to the ME3 who can collectively fill hundreds of high yield biz seats daily.

You are referencing the Singapore terminator flights (BA11 & 12) - they have indeed been upgraded to B77W, but the LHR-SIN-SYD service (BA15/16) are still B789 scheduled for the Northern Hemisphere Summer.
