January sale coming?
I'm looking book flights to Manila for travel in mid January (the prices seems incredibly high currently - nearly £2k return in economy via Hong Kong with BA / Cathay!). I'm presuming given the recent relaxing of borders in Hong Kong that demand has shot through the roof hence the high prices however is there any chance of a winter sale being launched imminently and is there any chance fares will drop on this route?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I very much doubt it when it comes to HKG. I also doubt there is much of an uptick yet for travel to HKG.
Are there other options you can look at on other carriers which do not go via HKG? This may be a better option tbh.

I would use google flights to price it up. Even if BA has a sale it usually point to point travel BA operated flights and sometime in the future minus some excluded dates. I would not put my hope high..

There are some Finnair flights in business from AMS-HEL-HKG in Feb etc. around €1650.
Possibly AirAsia or someone from there to MNL?
January, might be approaching Chinese New Year?

I hope so!
Since I’ve been looking on google flights the prices keep going up and up, and I’m hoping for ~£1.5k return in J for YVR.
The only good deals currently I’ve found are Cathay and Finnair flights to various places in Asia - including a bizarre LHR-HKG-DEL return in business for £1,500 or so - not sure if this is still around. Good for a TP run, especially if a part of a BAH.
PS based on previous sale dates, there should be one imminently

Well the prices to Mumbai in March for CW have gone down £470 since yesterday which means it’s currently about £100 more than Finnair on the same day and the BA flight times are better

SIN is down to around £600. An open jaw may save a bit on MNL pricing.
I wouldn't expect MNL prices from Europe to alleviate anytime soon. Huge pent up demand from overseas Filipino workers desperate to visit home. The HKG to MNL leg is likely to get more expensive as Macau and Hong Kong are now opening up.
I'm seeing much better pricing on Etihad who partner with Philippines Airlines. During The Black Friday sales they were offering J at about £2K.

Our cheapest flights tab starting to include some sale prices, I presume currently incomplete due to how sparse some of the offers are.
The offers that are there don’t seem too great in Y or W.
I did spot J return to YVR for ~£2k but this is from Gatwick and only about £300 shaved off the price.
