Double tier points on upgraded BA holiday flights?

Hi all,

I booked a BA Holiday package in economy. If I phoned up the agent and got the flight upgraded, would the upgraded flight still count for double tier points?

Thanks in advance!

Yes you will, as long as you upgraded using cash and not Avios

What about if you use a GUF? I had been assuming I would get the double points for the original booking class. Hadn't thought about a risk of not getting them at all.

Yes, you will receive double the tier points of the class you paid for with cash.

you will get the cash booking avios and tier points then doubled. Anyone saying you get the double tier points of the upgraded ticket is breaking the first rule of flyertalk.

Thank you. The possibility of having to avoid breaking the first rule of fllyertalk had never crossed my mind. I was worried about somehow not getting anything doubled - that would have made me very sad.
