Does this mixed BA/IBERIA Avios booking make sense
I have been trying to find the cheapest cash price for an Avios business class flight from London to Mexico return.
Current favorited option is Iberia Mad > Mex returning BA Cun > LGW
The BA flight is much cheaper than I was expecting it to be! I know one way flights from many places are not much cheaper than a return but unless BA.com is showing an incorrect fare this looks to be a good deal.
I can book both flights online as 2 one ways, my question is, is there any benefit of calling and (assuming I eventually get through) booking it on one ticket? I assume this would not count as a return as start and end points are different, but might it bring the price down further if on one ticket?
