Alaska Airlines and earning BA tier points
Just booked my BA holiday package to San Diego earning me 1,260 tier points and our next leg is with Alaska from SAN to HNL.
Before I go and book it, to get the BA tier points do I just book on Alaska airlines website and enter my BA executive number and hey presto?
I need to be sure as I will then be gold after these flights.
Please let me know the best way.

Yup, and that'll also unlock access to the oneworld elite seat selection and increased baggage allowance if you're in Y. Other forum denizens have reported significant delays for TPs to actually post from AS flown segments though.

Sadly, this trip is not until September, but with my other flights from LHR-PHL-SAN in business and first on a BA holiday, we shall make more than 1,500 with this holiday alone.

The AS points are unlikely to show up automatically. I normally can get them within. 2 weeks of travel or less, but a quick scan of the multiple threads on this issue will show FTers who had to wait several months.
