No CE catering loaded on short haul flights
Hi
Just received a sms message that there is no food or drink on board the ba1435 edi lhr at 0650 tomorrow and to collect a refreshment voucher at checkin.
I was looking forward to a club Europe full breakfast on board to wake me up but will settle for the lounge and the voucher
At least we have been prewarned
Regards
Tbs

I am afraid it’s been quite a few flights today and tomorrow without catering and not just yours. Not sure how widespread it is, the ones I have heard about have been domestics. No idea why.

check in did not give me a voucher ( and just remembered as I was walking to security) but the lounge agent printed one out for Ł10
Just got to figure out where to spend it as it is not specified
Christmas decorations are already up at duty free after security
went to the cafe Nero towards the high gate numbers as the one beside the lounge was packed.
got 2 croissants a bottle of water and a bottle of oj for Ł9.10 and the staff threw inn 2 small chocolates to round it to Ł10

Yeah LHR-INV last night was not catered - Captain made the decision to get us to Scotland on time rather than wait “a very long time” for catering - definitely the right call! They cobbled together some bits for CE but nothing in economy, saying if you had bought anything it would obviously would be refunded.

Hi
I blame auto correct for the misspelling
there was a water/juice / coffee service on board( paper cups)
now opposite gate a2 and waiting for the guidance system to be turned on
5mins later moving onto stand
Regards

Is it an insight into your daily typing activities, that autocorrect went from "lounge" to "lingerie"? There's 100% a story behind that!

There were 4/5 cancellations on the board at T5 last night, and heard an announcement about no catering on a Zurich flight.

It's simply not good enough. Could you imagine Swiss going out without catering? If I were in charge of Catering at BA - I'd have the CEO of Do & Co in my office this morning - no excuses. He should be thankful that I'd have a hairbrush and not a whip. I think that the standard of catering has gone down at Do & Co. I suspect that with everything going up, BA are paying the same and wondering why Do & Co are serving sub-par and are lucky if they deliver at all.
I get infuriated when I read this - Businessmen depend on having to something when they are flying particularly when changing times. I know that a man who has gone without his lunch or dinner is not be trifled with. I pity their wives and significant others.

Occasionally a BA Airport Manager will dash out for some boxes of water and snacks but usually they only find out when it's too late to get something organised.
