Sitting in CCR T7 waiting for BA176. Superb service at the First Wing with a change I thought would be v difficult. CCR leader has been outstanding, anticipating needs, like great service is, and I hope she will be moving to the Chelsea Room at T8. Great experience, really is BA at the top of their game.

It would be sad to say goodbye to Terminal 7 but at least for the foreseeable future someone flying on Aerolinas Argentinas, Alaska Airlines, ANA, Icelandair or LOT Polish would enjoy a very quiet terminal unless they announce any terminal changes in the meanwhile. I wonder if at least BA would keep their Galleries Club Lounge open until all 4 other airlines ( except Alaska which has their own lounge ) change terminals since the BA Lounge is the contract lounge for those airlines.

It will be bittersweet to visit T7 for the last BA flight (presuming the schedule doesn't change). But, as I'm usually connecting betwixt BA & AA at JFK, the move to T8 will be far more convenient for me personally.
Out of curiosity ... I visited the T7 CCR last week, flying as a GGL in CW. My boarding pass was on my phone, and I was suprised when presenting this at the entry desk that the staff member took a quick glance at my boarding pass, and without scanning it, she welcomed me as a GGL member. I was surprised by this, because I don't see any visual indication on the digital boarding pass that identifies me as GGL. To me, it looks like a regular gold boarding pass. Is there something unique on the digital boarding pass that identifies me as GGL, or was there a printed list of GGLs flying that evening that she had memorized?

I am on BA114 tomorrow night (2 November) - that will be my last T7 visit. It will be a relief not to have to schlep from T8 to T7, but I have fond memories of T7 and the United Club and PS Service from there before I switched to OneWorld.
