I do not think anyone takes Skytrax seriously. Until recently they had Lufthansa as a 5 star airline which currently does not allow even HON members to choose their seat for free in light fares and the only food option they have in economy is pasta...

Also Eva Air worse airline than BA and Lufthansa? Really?

It’s all BS crap to be honest, no one believes these silly rankings anyways

- AF at #8 and higher than CX or EVA? What crap have they been smoking? AF does not serve any hot second meals on ALL long haul flights in Y which should place them on the bottom pile.

- BA higher than CX? In your dreams, period. Despite their challenges CX never went cheap on catering and unlike BA kept on two full hot meal services on long haul flights even in the height of the pandemic, unlike BA with their infamous half finger sandwiches.

Ah, I see it’s time for the annual ‘pile-on-and-give-Skytrax-a-good-kicking’ fest.

Whoever decides these has clearly never dealt with QR away from it's (usually very good) onboard service or DOH airport experience.

Should I create another Skytrax after I graduate? It looks pretty lucrative given how much-paid sponsorship is there. LH Five star, while Etihad four, EY offers direct aisle access on every widebody, while LH offers none. EY offers recliner business class seats on it's whole narrowbody fleet, while LH offers blocked middle seats. Wonders how much LH pays those execs at Skytrax.

Digging down a bit BA did win 'best airline staff service in Europe' and 'best cabin crew in Europe', mind you, virtually everyone got some award or other.

There are comical gems to be found everywhere.

Have just spotted Oman Air (on which I’ve had better quality food / presentation in J than in BA’s F) languishing in 37th place. Maybe their bank transfer didn’t arrive in time 🤣

will probably move up the ranks next year when their bank transfer amounts increase (courtesy of QR’s subsidy) ha ha

Isn't that what we're doing in this thread?
