Will IAD check-in stay open late for 22SEP BA 292 delayed?

Hello.
BA292 / 22 SEP / now departing 12:20am instead of 10:40pm.
Will check in desk stay open later?
BA says they will contact people individually if the desk will stay open later.
We haven't heard anything.
Website says unless we call you please come at normal time.
Inbound delayed from 8:25pm until 10:15pm.
We really would like to take advantage of extended check-in hours if possible.
I called YouFirst and they didn't know and wouldn't called Dulles directly when I asked.

You never know how much delay might be recovered for whatever reason. The advertised delay is less than 2 hours - not massive really.
Definitely advise you arrive on-time to check-in unless BA advise you not to.

Interesting, I am booked on flight 226 out of Atlanta to LHR tonight and am seeing the same thing. Was scheduled to depart at 10:20 pm and now scheduled for 12:22 am. Wonder if there was a problem that pushed back departures.

Last Friday the inbound LHR-IAD (BA293) was about 1h15 late leaving LHR due to it being late arriving, then bags still be loaded. We made up about 30 mins enroute.

The 292 hasnt had a great ontime record this summer. Ive been contacted by text/email a couple of times with clear information on extended check-in times. Without that, Id check-in within the advertised window (albeit the very end).

US outstations is usually the same people doing check in and boarding so no reason not to extend check in. BA are good about confirming directly in my experience as they did for the OP!
