Can I get to silver?

I'm silver, and sat on 185 tier points - my year end is 08/11/22. I had enough flights booked to get near, but BA cancelled them over the summer. What's the cheapest and easiest way for me to get enough points to keep it.

You require 450 TPs to requalify as Silver
You have 185
So you need 265 points

Presuming that you live in UK

A 5 night BA holiday to Sofia or Catania, would get 80 + 80 along with a 160 pt bonus

Book a UK departing and returning BA holiday for the double tier points, making sure you read the T&Cs.

Another train of thought
Why bother trying to rush to regain silver before 8th Nov. Just go for 450 TPs before 31st Dec in your new year. .

Book a 5 night BA holiday in Mid November

It will be cheaper and if you pick a longer CE destination will realise 80 + 80 + 160 bonus

You will have 320 points
And require 130 before 31st Dec for the reduced 450 threashold.
A couple of day trips will do it, depending where you are based
Amsterdam, Dublin, Glasgow Edinburgh etc

That will give you an additional year of silver until December 2024.

Tell us where your closest airport is and what sort of window you have to travel in. Options will be more limited if you live in the regions and only have weekends free.

If based London
After Nov 8th
Do three weekend trips to Sofia, Catana etc
Will achieve 480 TP and requalify until Dec 2024

Out of interest, in the 10 months, how did you achieve the 185 tps?
Do you fly for work or purely pleasure
Do you have any proposed flights next year?

Book a week in SOF as a holiday but nest SOF-LHR-SOF and then you can do it as two day trips.

Or as the OP is based close to Gatwick, maybe Catania or one of the other 160 TP destinations from LGW

mainly work - but I have a leisure trip to NZ booked in December - which would get me there on it's own!

That's great - gets your next TP year off to a fab start and takes the pressure off a fair bit. You might even want to aim for Gold

wait a sec... is this trip finishing before 31st Dec and get you >450 TPs? In which case why do you need a TP run? If you left everything as it was you'd downgrade on 1st December to Bronze but with your NZ trip in December would get you to silver until Dec 24? I guess the only thing would be the 4 qualifying BA flights, but you could get the cheapest economy seats for those.

but my year end is 8/11 - and NZ trip is outside of that. I get back on 27/12. I couild only afford econ as only booked last week and cost me 's. So only get 310 tier points, and the flights back are on Qatar not BA.
