Just to avoid confusion, this restriction does not apply to any aircraft flying with an ATC clearance provided by Heathrow, Northolt, City etc (though the AIS site seems to be down right now, for me anyway)

Comments is this thread have concerned me. We have 4 of us in F with 2x241’s on 21/9.

Currently still shows us in row 1. Was thinking of calling You First for some reassurance, if it still exists

I wonder what this Bank Holiday / but not a really a BH will have on Heathrow operations? Sure they insist that their staff need to be in work, but with most schools being off how are the staff expected to arrange last-minute child care?

Same as any other bank holiday, with the nature of the job id like to think they have some
staff that are prepared to work unsociable hours or BHs.

well there's a big difference with planned BHs you know years in advance, as opposed to one which you get less than a week's notice with...

."It is almost certain that Easterly operations will be in-use, and from approximately 12:45z-14:45z, BPK, DET & ULTIB SIDs will be prohibited. Arrivals and other SIDs will be unaffected. Our departures originally planned to use these SIDSs will be replanned accordingly. In the event of a missed approach, pilots can expect an early turn to be assigned by ATC to avoid central London.
In the highly unlikely event that Westerly operations occur, in which case air holding can be expected, and in an abundance of caution, additional 'Extra' holding fuel will be provided for flights which arrive from 12:00z-17:00z, along with a mixture of diversion airfields being assigned.

We expect the effect on our operation to be minimal tomorrow, however at a time of such national importance, we want to ensure we are prepared, with suitable options available if unexpected delays
occur..
The above issued to Pilots this evening. Good luck Heathrow Tower.

I'm flying on Monday to MIA, departing at 1040am.

I'd actually quite like a delay, just so I can watch the funeral from the lounge.
