Booking AA Reward Flights

I can’t get BA to show any AA reward flights for travel ORD-YYZ. I can see miles saver flights are available on multiple dates so am wondering if this is an IT glitch. Can anyone please advise?

What dates are you looking at on aa.com?

I looked at the latest releases over the last few days (when the lowest saver fares are showing) and then picked random weeks over the coming months and BA didn't show a single seat, which makes me think it is a glitch.

Specific dates would help any effort to troubleshoot this issue.

I just checked a random date on Ba.com, ORD-YYZ on 5OCT22, and ba.com returned availability.

interesting, although I only did a one way search from YYZ to ORD. I’ll take another look but find it strange that all availability is disappearing he day that it is released so not convinced it isn’t a glitch

Are you certain that you were seeing MileSAAver availability on the YYZ-ORD nonstops, as opposed to connections?

Note that because YYZ-ORD is under 500 flown miles, the MileSAAver redemption rate for the nonstops on this route in Economy is 7,500 AAdvantage miles; for the connections, it would still be 12,500.

If you are seeing nonstops offered for any amount of miles other than 7,500 (higher or lower), it is a Web Special award, not a MileSAAver.

I have similar issues as well. YYC-PVR Feb 18/23 - March 4/23. Lots of availability on AA.COM but nothing on BA

Have always had issues with using AVIOS on non-BA flights.

I'm not seeing any MileSAAver award seats from YYC to PVR on February 18, so it's no surprise that nothing is coming up on ba.com.

Maybe I am missing something but when I go to AA.com I can book a reward flight - Is there some limitation on using Avios on OneWorld partner airlines?

Yes. AA only makes available milesaaver award flights to other airlines. AA provides greater availability to their own members (using AA miles in greater amounts) as do most oneworld member airlines.

Thanks - makes sense.

And sometimes, using AA miles in lesser amounts. ;)

That is definitely where I was going wrong. I thought the 7,500 flights were sAAver fares
