I thought row 1 was blocked for golds on J ticket
This isn’t until next June and I will be crash landing to rust from silver in March 2023 so I expect to be booted out anyway 😭 but I thought you couldn’t claim a seat in row 1 as silver account holder until T-72 ??

I was surprised to see the very same thing on an Avios booking for next summer I made at the weekend. Flights to DEN and back from PHX with no row 1 restriction, which I duly booked as a Silver.

I think this was a quirk of the Azores routes, perhaps someone forgot to put the block in place. Booked LHR-PDL and TER-LHR on Avios and both legs we were put in row 1 as silver at the time of booking.

Had my flight to LHR in January changed 2 days ago and was re-allocated row 1 as opposed to the row 2 I had already booked. Changed the seats back to row 2 as it is more than likely the seats would be changed at a later date to accommodate gold members.
