405 Tier Points Required
I have held BA Gold status for many years but as I no longer fly for business I find that I need 405 TP before November.
When I fly for leisure on medium/long haul, I always fly business so many of the perks that Gold brings, I would get anyway on a bus. class ticket. I would appreciate thoughts on a low cost way to get 405 TP as I'm wondering if it's actually worth it - the thing I like most of Gold status is the First Wing security at LHR and the more personalised telephone support that BA give me.

Could/would you do something like 2x SOF back to backs (360TPs) and then find somewhere else smaller to make up the remaining 45TPs? (assuming you have two days to 'waste' on that endeavour)
I believe SOF is regarded as a safe B2B destination (worth validating as I have no personal experience); is available for ~£225 return in November at the moment coming in at ~£1.40 per tier point.
Obviously if you want to actually visit Bulgaria, even better!

I can fly from any UK airport to start with (LHR preferred) - I have been trying to use AA.com site but without success for multicity itinerary so far based on the original TP run thread on this site - HEL & TLL were suggested there

The HEL/TLL ship sailed several years ago I’m afraid. It used to be a sweet spot for TP earning (200TP for circa £200) but BA has now abandoned the route to Finnair who charge £££ for J on the LHR-HEL route.

Sofia is nice and cheap as suggested
Why not take advantage of the current BA holiday scheme before Oct 31st
LHR to Sofia
5 nights in a BA hotel, drags the cost down
160 TP that gets doubled (eventually) to 360
Then as your preference is LHR
Luxembourg is always one of the cheapest destinations....
Out to Luxembourg in CE
Then back in Economy for the remaining 45TP

As a BAH prices as £563 and qualifies for double TP.

You could always stick in a JER-LON connection at the beginning of the BAH to yield an additional 80TP under the double tier points promotion (also avoids some UK departure taxes as well as the ex Heathrow capacity restrictions too). TP mission then accomplished. All you'd need to do in addition is position out on a separate ticket in order to commence the BA holiday. BA, Avios, EZY, whoever. No need to book back to the original start point either, just book the BAH to finish at LON then head home as normal.
