Documents required for UK citizen to travel to the US

Hi.

Some assistance on documentation required for a UK citizen to visit the US for leisure would be appreciated.

I've got my NHS Covid vaccine paperwork and have applied for my ESTA. Is there anything else to complete before departure, apart from contact info that the airline already have.

I read an article in The Independent newspaper that said you need to compete a "Combined passenger disclosure and attestation to the United States of America" form!?! I read that this needs to be completed online and printed out. Is this still a requirement? I had no clue.

Yours a little confused.

Thanks.

Ideally, though it's not compulsory, you should use the VeriFLY app before departure. More details and databpoints here

VeriFLY experiences

This will process your attestation and covid vaccination proof.

Failing that at check in they’ll flash you a QR code and you confirm the attestation in seconds

Thanks. I have used it during mid pandemic but not for the US. What are the potential consequences if I don't use it?

It may take you longer to check in, you may not get your boarding pass until you get to the airport, and if you have misunderstood the requirements (admittedly unlikely now, but I guess it could change) then VeriFLY at least tells you in time for you to possibly fix the problem. Whereas at the airport you may end up not flying as planned.

Hmm the Covid upload and attestation were all together in ba.com for me a few days before departure last week. All very simple.

I had spotted you can do some US destinations via MMB but not Washington DC, but then i got an email from BA saying I could do it all via MMB. All very simple. Note, the US attestation form is very long and intimidating, but if you re fully vaccinated you tick the first box and sign at the end and thats it.nowhere near as bad as it looked!

Thanks also. So from the replies here it seems that if you use VeriFLY the attestation form id taken care of automatically by VeriFLY and you won't have to fill it in seperately.

There have been a few different pieces of advice offered here, all gratefully received. If I choose to use VeriFLY, presumably there's no need to upload anything via MMB and I'll still be able to checkin online? Thanks.

All very simple these days. Last October I went to Europe for holiday. I needed testing to board BA and enter the UK and EU, then again to board and return to the US. The paperwork was extensive: transit LHR, enter Germany, enter Austria, enter Switzerland, re-enter Germany, transit LHR, enter the US. I'm glad that's over and this year's Bundesliga-binge trip will be much easier.
