Thank you from BA - enjoy your upgrade

First time I’ve seen this printed on a BP!

Original booking was WT -> WTP with Avios upgrade, and now have been bumped to CW (and it’s CS as well!)

I had this on a flight from LHR-GLA in June when I was upgraded to club at the gate, first time I'd seen it too.

BA238 is the day flight leaving BOS at 7am so I suspect the OP is travelling shortly.

Two friends have recently been upgraded WTP-CW, one a former gold now bronze going LGW-MCO, another a silver going LHR-ACC.

In the latters case quite amusing as they were staunchly in the "it's just a seat on a plane club". Oh how opinions were changed when they got CS for 8 hours, especially after I had told them to use the CX lounge in T3.

Doubt I will make it a hat trick in our group and get J-,F in September but one can hope.

BOS is one of those routes that gets oversold freqently in W, and normally at capacity in WT+

WT+ to CW upgrades at the gate are quite frequent. It's a great route if you are solo GCH travelling in WT+

The same goes for JFK. I've had untold amounts of upgrades from WTP to J on that route, to the extent that I'm now relatively disappointed if I don't get it! Enjoy the flight OP!

I'm on about 50% rate for WT+ to Club upgrades on the JFK/BOS route

Personally, I would like to keep my upgrade discreet and not have it shown on the boarding pass.

Do you regularly show other passengers your boarding pass then?
