I'm going to book HKG for January in F - If it does get cancelled does anyone know what alternative BA might offer? No other OW Carriers fly to HKG with an F Cabin. I was in a similar position in January this year when my SIN was cancelled and there was no other OW Carriers, in that case they re-routed me to HKT and on QR F.

its hard to double guess possible future changes but on current form Id guess your option would be fly J with downgrade compensation or get a refund.

Our Ba055/6 in early December has been changed from an A380 to a B787 but both legs have been re-accommodated in F ie a 789. Will have to see if the class of travel is subsequently changed.

My LAX-LHR flight for Nov 25, BA0282, was cancelled earlier today. Only one BA flight (not two) and several American Airlines flights were offered as alternatives.

BA have reduced their LAX service to 1 flight a day from Nov 21st through 25th due to it being Thanksgiving week. Their 2 flights a day schedule resumes on the 26th.

Is there any update on SH? or EuroFlyer routes? LGW services are conspicuous by their absence.

Agreed. At the moment BA Euroflyer only has 10 routes on sale for the winter season. (these have been on sale since January) The ACL slot report for winter at Gatwick suggests flights to
ski destinations, some further winter sun destinations and a couple of new city destinations are anticipated. I hope they release these in the near future. I have asked around but not getting back very much information.
They must have plans for summer 2023 in hand as well. On Thursday BA advertised for direct entry First Officers for both mainline and BA Euroflyer. On the BA Euroflyer advert it mentioned further expansion next summer.
I have also heard that a handful of the A321ceos may also be off to Gatwick this winter.
I am also anticipating some ski charter flights as well as the Christmas specials to Lapland.
As a side note I have heard that yields are above expectations for BA Euroflyer.
Would be good to hear any news. I am concerned that they may be leaving the final winter release a little late. Hopefully we will hear very soon.

Any ideas on this? BA5 LHR > HND listed as two flight times depending on the day now. 11 hours some days and 13 hours others. The departure time has been updated on the 13 hour flight’s to leave 2 hours earlier at 11:45 am while the 11 hour leaves the original time of 13:45.

Sounds like they are updating the schedule to account for the increased flight time avoiding Russian airspace.

This will impact bookings with flights connecting onto BA5.

Just received a small increase of LHR-HKG flight times next March. I also assumed this is because of Russian airspace.

I've just had our return from SIN to LHR in February switched to the 77W. seats were changed to ones I did not want so went and changed them. The configuration is 8 F and a small 12 seat new club suite section with the galley next and larger club suite section behind.

Yes thats why I noticed it as I have a connection to BA5 which now arrives after the new time BA5 leaves. Will BA update the connection as well or do I need to intervene? Its all on one booking.

Thanks

Not sure.

My own Tokyo booking hasnt been updated with the new times yet. When it does it will create a 10 min connection from GLA. Ill wait and see what happens - bigger concern for me at the moment is hoping Japanese government announce re-opening for tourists.
