Question LHR T5 to T3 airside as staying at Sofitel

Flying AA LHR-MIA on 23/7/22 so now departing T3 rather than T5 but staying at Sofitel T5 on 22/7/22.

I wondered whether we would be able to use fast track security at T5 (BA silver/flying business class AA) and then connect airside via the bus or do we have to use the free connect train landside and use T3 security which looks busier than T5. If the latter is fast track easy to locate as I've seen recent pics with long queues and no separation until nearer the security entrance (been a long time since we've flown from T3 I can't recall the layout).

We should have our boarding cards and dealt with luggage on 22/7.

I'm wondering whether we would be better off changing to the later BA flight from T5 (we had originally booked the early BA flight but that was cancelled and we were auto rebooked onto AA57) but not sure that it would be allowed given that I accepted the change to AA.

You will not be able to enter T5 departures with a T3 boarding pass so you will need to make your way from the sofitel to t3 landside by train or tube.

Also I'm pretty sure there isn't night before check in for AA so unless you're coming off of a connection you'll have your luggage with you

You wouldn't be able to switch to BA now without paying any fare difference

Thanks for the reply, it's much appreciated.

We'll just have to leave plenty of time I guess and hope for the best.

Thanks for your reply.

We will be coming off an overnight connection BRU-LHR with BA staying at the Sofitel then LHR-MIA the following morning.

Whenever we've taken an overnight long connection BA have through checked our bags to our final destination in the states but usually that's BA/BA not sure whether we've done similar with BA/AA. Do you know if this is possible with BA/AA please?

Might just leave the luggage with bell services at the Sofitel instead if we can't check it through checked BRU-LHR-MIA.

if you are on one ticket with less than 24 hours between flights you will be able to through check your bags
