Baggage question on BA operated AA flight number

Booked via AA on AA6971 (BA170) PIT - LHR. Booked in WT+. MMB on BA says no checked-in bag. I assume that is BA's IT at play again and showing the wrong thing? I assumed I would have 2 bags included up to 23kg, although because I'm Gold I would get 3x 32kg? Is that correct?

As far as I know, the only no luggage fares are in WT. WTP BA operated gets 2 x 23kg (I believe not 32kg). On every fare with a luggage allowance, Gold gets an additional bag. So I believe the correct answer is 3 x 23kg (not 3 x 32kg).

The “no checked bag” in MMB is definitely a(nother) website glitch.

As for the correct checked baggage allowance, since AA is the first marketing carrier, for this itinerary AA determines the baggage allowance, although it can apply whatever allowance it wishes (eg the BA allowance if it differed). Both carriers have a standard 2 bag allowance for WTP/PE, and 3 bags for OWE.

The query item would be the weight per piece. BA allowance for Gold/OWE is 32kg per bag in any cabin (at least for your baggage allowance on that flight, not sure if it applies to additional pieces). AA allowance in PE is 23kg (32kg in J/F). Not sure how BA check in staff would handle that one.

What does the e-ticket say about baggage allowance? That will take precedence over anything in MMB.

I know that the AA allowance for OWE is 3x 32kg in any class (including basic economy fares when booked as an AA flight number which is a really good benefit for the cheapskates who sometimes book my tickets).

So that solves that then - 3x 32kg bags. And another BA glitch. I wouldn't have said a codeshare flight is too uncommon....
