BA208 MIA - LHR 9 Jun delay

Due to fly home to UK on BA208 from Miami tomorrow - Thursday 9th

app is saying the flight is delayed and waiting to update new departure time.

Looking at same flights leaving today it seems as flight out to London is delayed by 3hrs to 11:08pm.

Wondering if my flight coming up is experiencing knock on effect delays or a persistent tech issue ?

Usually this means there is no aircraft allocated to the flight yet. Flightradar24 shows G-XLEC going to Miami and Chicago today so presumably BA are having a shuffle round of allocations. Hopefully this results in an on time flight for you!

I can see no reason for a delay, the flight has an aircraft allocated and is currently airborne from Chicago, BA 209 is on time.

Looking at flightradar24 it seems CIHY is now wrong. The site now shows BA209 and 208 today operated by G-XLEG, which operated BA209 yesterday and is running 3-4 hours late. FR24 shows today's BA208 as leaving around 11pm. I don't see any reasons for the delay on expertflyer, but I'm not exactly sure where to find that information.

You are indeed correct, there has now been an aircraft change and is now LG operating this service and showing 240 minute delayed LHR.

I'm also due to fly on this plane today (well, tomorrow now!). Just watched it get pushed back from the gate at LHR. I did wonder if they'd cancel today's flight like they did on 6/6 although I don't know what caused that cancellation

It eventually left 4 hours and 35 minutes late and is due at LHR 3 hours and 55 minutes late. But G-XLEG flies to Vancouver next, so it won't create knock-on delays for BA209 and 208 today.
