Third weekend of July (so 16th July or so) onwards. Legally, unions have to give 2 weeks notice of strike action. Also, according to the Telegraph article I read, the GMB represents 700 workers at BA Heathrow, which feels lowish.

English school holidays start from the 21 July I believe.

BBC news saying specific dates will be announced 2nd half of July and August

Also, 95% in favour on an 81% turnout does not suggest a happy ship.

Varies by council area but in England most will close on 22 July for 6 weeks.

Vote to strike has passed, minimum 14 days notice to actually walk out (I doubt BA management will agree to a reduced notice period) but still chance for negotiations now the unions have a strike mandate

So this is the GMB LHR check-in/ground staff ballot. Believe the Unite ballot result is due on Monday (also LHR).

Meaning specific dates for strikes which will take place in the second half of July and the second half of August will be announced now?

Come on Sean, listen to your people and do some meaningful negotiation. Prove you're different from Cruz.

I may well be affected by this but I donít blame the staff at all. To not reinstate the pay cut enforced during the pandemic is downright outrageous. This needs to be dealt with asap.

Gatwick, what happens there?
