Upgrade flight only, booked with Avios
I booked a flight with Avios, which means I can't upgrade the flight online.
Tried calling the BA Gold line, which is just cutting off (I am overseas at the moment, hoping to see if I can get an upgrade, as there is availability at the moment, but it will probably be gone at the moment.
Any idea how I can talk to someone, or is it just a tough tomoatos at the moment

No, unfortuately and specifically for Avios bookings, you have to call the part of BAEC where your account is based, so probably Warrington if it's a UK address. Bremen can't handle UK/Ireland BAEC accounts.

I guess no point calling the US 'generic' number either?
