How much Amps can I draw from the new clubworld seat?
Ideally would like to pull a warmer amps for Warmer there is no noise that emits from these
I understand there is a universal power point, but ther is no max amps warning on them? The Purser from my last trip was unaware, but she did say it was a pooled "allowance" for the whole cabin. |
If there is a limit per seat, could we get a cable from 1 F seat to another, ideally over the Window, so nobody will be bothered by it?

In the document here:
https://www.britishairways.com/cms/g...uick-Guide.pdf BA say the maximum power is 125W (They state the voltage as 110v, so a max current of just over 1.1A) |
Wow so in First no pooling to run more? I need 5AMPS.

Power is measured in Watts... It would be better to use Watts in this context. What exactly is this device? |
Could you clarify what device this is, that needs 5A ?
5A at 110V is a heater, not a warmer. |

It says 500w. So If like me and 3 people in first all pooled our energy supplies it could work? |
Is this a (v weird) joke?

Ok, probably like many of the FT congregation gathered here tonight, I'm going through the "why, why, oh why" phase. But I'd be reasonably confident that for multiple reasons the cabin crew will ask, if not instruct, you not to use a hot dog heater whilst airborne. But in any even the plug will probably short itself temporarily to protect the power supply.

This has got to be the best thread ever!

The poster has PM'd me to say they have reached their daily post limit, which applies to newer accounts. So we may have 24 hours of speculation ahead of us.......

I'd also hazard a guess that this powers through a mains plug of some description to IEC320 leads. You simply can't plug one of those into multiple sockets, so sharing across multiple outlets just doesn't make sense. |
