Interesting, but this was what I wanted to check and see initially. Maybe they have started to fix the issue from your previous calls. Check and see if your upcoming reservations still has the same issue. If it still showing the paid option give it another day or 2 or try removing and adding your executive club number again.

I think the process for this is an Exec Club agent would queue it to back office and thats why you were told 24/48 hours. So I think the agents you spoke to probably have followed the correct process you just need to wait a bit more.

I dont think repeated calls will achieve anything more,unfortunately.

Around 4pm today, app now letting me select seats etc.... Still waiting on the email BA said they'd send

had exact same issue earlier this year. Went all the way through it allowed free seat selection right up until the point where you had already paid, then got an error message stating that the seats could not be confirmed and to go back in to manage my booking - at which point it then asked us to pay for seat selection.
