Companion voucher information

Hello hello, can someone kindly guide me to how to use a companion voucher please. I did read somewhere that you donít even have to have a companion to use one. Is that correct?
much appreciated

I am curious as to how you could use a Companion voucher without a companion.

You need Avios availability to book and someone travelling with you.
The Companion voucher covers the Avios needed for the second person when you book using it. You still pay taxes fees and charges for you and your companion.

While you didn't say which bank issued your companion voucher, the wiki to this thread is your best source for information:
BA American Express companion voucher | master thread

And no, it doesn't make sense to use a companion voucher if you don't have a companion!
