August 2022 Flight Cancellations And Operational Changes.

Just received notification that my BA285 (1110 LHR - SFO) has been cancelled on 18th August.

No doubt my return a week later (on the inbound of that sector) will also get the chop on a week or so!

BA109 LHR-DXB 1st August - Was travelling First, now no first for that day. Was supposed to be treating my two daughters to the CCR as they coming also (but in Y, they have left home so not my responsibility to pay for their flights anymore!).
Very disapointed at the moment, its a BAH booking, so will call soon for options.

My CW booking on the BA 285 1110hrs dep to SFO was also cancelled for 05Jun, did you get offered a re-routing option via MMB? I took AA to DFW and then connecting on to SFO. Other routings were available, Ironcillay I will get more Tier points, a bit of a consolation for the inconvenience.

BA193/BA192 (LHR - DFW and return) cancelled on Sundays in August, looks like it's running other days...

BA285 LHR to SFO on 17th July cancelled yesterday, strange that's it's still scheduled to fly on the 16th, no offer of alternative yet, when does this come through

They automatically rebooked me on the 287, but I've not accepted. We liked the 1415 arrival into SFO and 287 gets in at 1710 so I'm looking at options before I ring.

As i'd hoped, BA306 LHR-CDG (AUG 8) was cancelled. Was able to change my flight JFK-LHR to a better time and now connecting direct to AMS from LHR.

You could have played it slightly better via the East Coast for 140+140 tier points.

OP may want to consider this reroute for their rebook, especially if they're already eligible for double tier points with BAH.... that would be quite a sweet incentive from a tier points perspective.

BA1492 LHR-GLA (18.15 dep)on 21st August cancelled, but rebooked on BA1498 departing at 20.00.

Mildly inconvenient as this is flight is repositioning home AMS-LHR-GLA, after arriving back from a TP run to HNL, another two hours added to the connection we could have done without!

As part of my GGL TP run:

BA893 SOF-LHR 14:20-15:50 Wed 17th Aug has been cancelled.
BA892 LHR-SOF 08:15-13:25 Tue 23rd Aug has been cancelled.

Options for rebooking are: BA892 LHR-SOF on the 24th Aug (one advantage is that I was coming in from JFK at 7:30am and then connecting to the SOF flight 45 mins later, so potentially a day between flights, although at my expense) and they've put in me in seat 3A, wherever that may be???
Nothing for SOF-LHR.

Various flights to/from SOF seem to have been ditched in August, so I could go a day earlier or two other flights would need to be moved by a day.

Go into MMB and "we can't find any bookings" so I can't see what's what anyway

26/08: BA998, LHR - BER, 18:15 - 21:10 cancelled.

Proper pain as we'd specifically timed that one so as to leave from home after midday (only half day of leave), and arrive early enough to grab a meal before bed and an early start the next day. Worse is that it's a BA Holidays booking, and I REALLY don't want to have to phone them to sort it out.

I forget, does a cancellation mean I can change my return leg without charges? I'd picked a sub-ideal time as the return flights seemed to be significantly more expensive.

BA572 LHR-Milan Malpense 12/08/22 cancelled, put on the BA566 at 15:05. I expect the return, BA573 @ 13:15 will be cancelled on 17/8. A BAH booking (Flight & Car) will cancel, and look at other alternatives
