How is the return to LGW South going
First day back there today - anyone here travelling through and care to share their experiences?

Vested interested - flying from there myself tomorrow

First short haul is tomorrow (except for the Glasgow today I assume).

The great and good will be partying in the lounge around 9.30.

This thread has answered a question I had. I’m flying long haul out of Gatwick in a couple of weeks and was wondering if the lounge would have reopened.

I see that this Independent article claims the First lounge will reopen, presumably a fact lifted from some press release. I liked the lounge and hoping it is all true.

Reporting live from Gatwick.

It’s busy, but checkin moved smoothly enough. Premium Gatwick is open and there was basically nobody in it at 8am.

And I am happy to report the F lounge is open - which I can confirm personally as I’m currently sat in it

No, talking about the BA lounge.

Breakfast menu is a bit more limited than I recall, but the kippers are still there.

Full self-service bar available - including JW Blue (so a step up from LHR). Fizz options are Canard-Duchene Grand Cuvee, Lanson Rose and the Hattingley Valley sparkling stuff you get in F
