Friend witnessed Nigela Lawson ask for Campari on a flight back from Venice. Once the crew picked themselves up from the cabin floor in laughter, she settled for water.

Partner just returned home from Reykjavik on the 801 this afternoon. The little tiny menu says:

Starter: spring pea mousseline, feta, black quinoa

Main:
Thai prawn curry OR
Mezze rigatoni OR
Sliced roasted British beef salad

Cheese selection
Duo of chocolate mousse

He had the prawn curry and said there were three prawns and a ton of rice. Passed on the "cheese board" and instead had a bottle of the Feuillatte and the South African Sauvignon Blanc. CE cabin had about 7 passengers, which was double the amount when he flew up on Monday morning.

Sorry no photos, that only happens when I travel too (yes, I need to train him better!)

Special meal question

Anyone any idea what is being served up for the Hindu or Muslim meals on domestics?

have about 8 domestics booked for this month and quite fancy mixing things up a bit.

thanks

I’ve posted some Muslim meals upthread.

Sometimes you get a veg meal and sometimes a halal chicken or Turkey meal in CE.

I *love* Campari! Negroni sbagliato, spritz or even just a plain old campari soda. Or even better, made with Berto (OK getting very East London hipster I admit but so good)

The problem is, nothing gives a more evil hangover.

Bitter flavours go down a treat in Italy. Personally they leave me cold. It has to be noted that the scope of the bar has diminished. A pity.

I’m sure you love something pink and slightly bitter

Campari spritz 👍👍👍 Aperol is usually too sweet for me when the Prosecco is taken into account. Apologies to darling PUCCI, but I love the bitters drinking culture in Italy. I come back from a week in Tuscany or Emilia-Romagna with v different drink preferences.
