The £75 for MAN each way is a joke.😂

Especially if one has lounge and priority boarding already.

I'd be fascinated to know what proportion of reservations were upgraded at £49 vs what proportion is upgraded at £75 - and also whether shiny card holders still bite at £75... I doubt many do but I may be wrong!

Probably depends how much they need the extra TPs

I pay for the fine dining, but I stay for the superior cabin ambiance

LHR-SOF £99, July 2022
SOF-LHR £99, August 2022

Works out as ~£10 cheaper than CE was originally... not sure if it's worth that though!

We tend to think that £2/TP is a good ratio, so unless the underlying Y fare gets you above 30 TPs, I'd say that's actually reasonable.

That's pretty good as BA want £90 e/w for LHR-DUB next weekend!

Can anyone help? I have done several POUGs before, so I thought I knew what I was doing.

I can see the return segment of my LCY-EDI-LCY trip has the 'star' showing in the app. I tap the star, and I'm taken out of the app into the BA website, into manage my booking. There is no option to upgrade at all here (on my phone, Apple iOS). Can anyone advise what I’m doing wrong? I can’t even see an option to upgrade for a fare difference.

[ADDITIONAL EDIT] I’ve now worked out how to upgrade for fare difference... is this the same route as POUG now? It all looks different to the last time I did this (which was years ago...)

POUG always has "limited time offer" clearly indicated around it, and a clear button on both App and in the bottom right corner of MMB. Fare difference is never highlighted.

You're not imagining things, it has changed (see earlier posts).

WT to WTP LHR-JFK

Trying to gauge a consensus opinion on whether £175 to upgrade to WTP on LHR to JFK is worth it. What do people think?

It used to be £189, then dropped to £182, then back up to £189, and now further down to £175.

Edit: Just to give the full picture, I'm currently seated in a window seat in one of the "couplets" down the back.

Only you can answer that - it depends how much you value the extra comfort, food, space, points… not to mention how much the cash means to you right now.

For context though, assuming you’re departing the UK rather than transiting, it’s worth adding that £100 of your £175 upgrade is going straight to the government in additional APD, so an alternative question is whether you think what BA is giving you is worth £75.

Or it could simply mean me asking, "Do I really want to give the government that much money?" The price has now gone up again to £194, so I think I am not going for it. I'd rather spend the £94 for the emergency exit row (no window though )and another 50 quid for noise-canceling headphones (which will be mine forever) and still save 50 quid which I can spend on lunch at the Oyster Bar.
