Sure the crew would’ve noticed at least, passengers may have potentially been informed by the crew? Quite a while ago I saw a someone in a BA uniform surveying some new thing at Heathrow, didn’t hear what it was about, wonder if the same thing was done?

I wonder what the passenger's and crew's reactions we're like when/if they noticed a new cabin
The new seats is more comfortable with increased knee room. |
Some photos taken on the inaugural flight to Edinburgh this morning.
Picture credits thanks to Philip Grover Overall looks very smart, but I question how long it will be before that wooden galley floor is filthy with stains and I prefer the solid Speedbird logo on current aircraft at the front of the cabin. Shame to see the antimacassars dissappear from the Club Seats. I guess it's one less thing to have to add/remove/wash.
|
G-ZBJA won't return in service until mid-June due to certification. The elimination of the horrible bathrooms in the back of the A320s was a rumour, but alas not one that proved to be correct.

Any idea where G-TNED is heading tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday? I've got a few spare avios so may try and grab a b2b if I can on Sunday...

There are seats available in both cabins.

It is if you book two one ways.

Was hoping that they would include a device holder on the new seats- shame to see they haven’t.

Could you not tuck your tablet cover into the magazine holder and hang it that way? Maybe even your phone case?
LcS They had device holders on the Vurgin Australia Max that I flew last month. The cabin looked classy and I assume that the holders will become the defacto standard eventually. |

Pilot37 Very elegant Airspace cabin and much better than the previous the A320neos, I think that the mood lighting was a very nice touch on the older A320-200s and seeing it's return on the new A320neo cabin is great. As others have pointed out, the lack of a phone holder is a little irritating for those with no iPads/tablets, as airlines with the same seats mostly have them (Air France, Aegean, Southwest) and sometimes taking my laptop out to watch a movie is a little bit of a hassle. Shows that there is still a hint of cost-cutting there. Overall a very nice improvement, so happy that the horrible Recaro seats in the back are now gone and great to see the addition of USB-C charging points too. |

G-YMME appears to be broken in Kingston, been there 3 days now.

Coming back tomorrow.

The new interior on the NEO looks great!
fingers crossed for a fleet refurb! |
Surely that 'wood' galley floor is not actually wood?
Agree on the 'smart' look. The logo is proof that less is not always more, or was it a case of "We forgot the bloody logo! Quick, come up with something!" |

I’d guess it’s some kind of vinyl, still likely to stain more than the old black floor
I also note that it looks like the logo has been removed from the middle tables, perhaps not a bad thing as these seemed to be a great area for grime to gather, and with no hot towels to help with the removal of said grime, they probably decided it was best just to drop this little design feature. Overall I do love the new look, well done to BA on this one, though it will all be worthless unless they retro fit these seats to the NEO's which were delivered without the tables and mood lighting, as there will just be a continuation of the same inconsistent product we are have at the moment. |
A decision on the retrofit will be made after enough feedback is gathered.

From what I’ve seen around, I don’t think wifi is fitted from factory but instead installed after delivery
I’m not sure whether airbus just don’t install the wifi as an option, or if BA do it in-house to cut costs |

TBB is due back at LHR on Friday, sadly still as a G7!
BA9174E CWL1715 – LHR1800 It’s then planned to operate the BA53/52 SEA rotation daily until 20th May. |
G-VIIW arrived back from Boston this evening and G-MIDT is about to land from Brussels, just leaving G-TTNT still stuck in Florence after this trio went tech at various outstations earlier in the week!

Just spotted G-XBWC, with engine covers fitted, looking rather sorry for herself outside TBA at the East Base. Suggests that it's a longer term fix.

Saw it last week, the outer portion of the horizontal stab is missing.
