I've played around a bit with aircraft movement data and created the following views. I did a bit of a read across over this thread, and it appears that I get the active/parked(since/where) mostly right. Wondering if you find this useful and if you have any ideas how to improve it:

Active Fleet: Aircraft that have operated a flight in the last 30 days.

Stored Fleet: Aircraft that have not operated a flight in the last 30 days, assumes that the last flight destination is where the aircraft is parked.

Leased Fleet: Non-BA aircraft that have operated a BA flight in the last 30 days.

Historic Fleet: Ex BA aircraft

Why is the A321ceo fleet still stuck in Madrid?

Because they haven't got enough people to crew their owned fleet and as a result are throwing money at both Finnair and Iberia to fly on their behalf. Cost cutting as inflation hits 11% hasn't seen as many gullible youngsters as they'd banked on.

Are we likely to see the return of the A321’s accelerated as a way to add extra capacity with schedules being cut?

Capacity wise perhaps having the A321’s back now and parking some A319’s instead might help?

It might if you have enough extra cabin crew to crew an A321 versus that needed for an A319.

Love the idea of it, but not sure about the stored fleet data- I think G-YMMA is still in CWL, not LHR, and VIIL and STBJ are too- not at LGW.

G-STBK and G-ZBKG are both going to CWL tomorrow around the same time at 1pm. G-STBF and G-ZBKM will then return to LHR.

Hmmm.... I'm having the flights to CWL in the database, so not sure why they don't show up as parked in CWL.

Thanks, FamilyOf6, will have to do some analysis.

Just by way of a quick correction G-LCYY left the fleet at the end of 2021. It’s now with German Airways

I think I found the bug in this and fixed it.

At the moment I assume an aircraft is stored when it goes somewhere and then it doesn't move for a month. Are there any other indicators? I guess if an aircraft goes to CWL there should always be some maintenance or storage involved, right?

Has STBF been fitted with CS, and will STBK be fitted with it on this visit?

STBF definitely hasn’t had the new CS fitted, it only arrived in CWL on June 27th and left today - not enough time to do any cabin reconfiguration. G-STBG holds the current record for a B77W cabin refit at 7 weeks, which if was maintained would mean G-STBJ is due out of the refit hanger next week with the new CS and F installed. No idea on G-STBK, but looking at the CWL BAMC records it appears its last visit was in 2019 - so I’d be inclined to think it’s a maintenance vs refit visit.
