Current methods to check fare/booking class availability:
  • Expertflyer.com $99 / year
  • KVS Fees vary
  • Travel Agent friends
If you are requesting flight load / class availability, please provide the following:

1. Actual travel date (don't say tomorrow, or similar, as that is ambiguous given the global flyertalk membership)
2. Departure and arrival airport codes
3. Flight number

Thanks!

Question Flight check

Can someone check this flight for me. I purchased my ticket back in April. Since then I have read recently here on this Forum about a few flights cancelled to Nairobi for August, I did a 'dummy' flight search on BA website and says for my date "the flight is not available". I have not received any email from BA saying that. Maybe the flight is full now? I find that odd for November if that's the case.
Date: 4 Nov 2022
Route: LHR-NBO
Flight: BA 0065 (Business Class seat)

Thank you gormless, but I have NO idea what this means. Would you have to explain, I’d really appreciate it.

First. "Point of Sale" - some availability depends on where you're purchasing tickets. You appear to be in the US, so that might apply.

So what does this mean: "J9 C9 D9 R0 I0 W9 E9 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0"

For ticket classes, this is how many tickets BA says are available. "9" means that at least 9 tickets.
J9 C9 D9 - All of J/C/D are open to more than 10 tickets. This is the Business Class/Club set of buckets.
R0 I0 - No R/I tickets
W9 E9 - Lots of W/E availability - WTP
T0 - No T
Y9 B9 H9 - Lots of Y/B/H : WT
K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 - No K/M/L/V/S/N/Q/O/G availability
Since there's no F or A, there's no First Class on the flight.
No P (WTP) or X (WT) bookings means no reward bookings.

For what the codes mean, rather than me re-type, see https://thepointsguy.co.uk/guide/ba-...ses-explained/

Edit: shorter answer here is that the flight has a lot of revenue availability.

Thanks again gormless! I have my eTicket for the flight (purchased early April 2022). It doesn't say what class of ticket I bought other than Business. I'm just trying to find out if the flight is still scheduled to go in November. When I do a 'dummy' booking for my date on 4 Nov 2022 it says that the only connecting flight from LHR to NBO is on Qatar. This is just too confusing for me....don't understand what me purchasing my ticket in the USA has anything to so with this...I purchased the ticket over the phone with BA. I sent a message to BA via Facebook, with all the details...hopefully someone will answer me. Obviously November is a ways off, so I guess I just have to wait to see how things pan out and I will get an email if my flights have changed....hopefully not two hours before departure! Thanks for The Points Guy link!
