Help to check BA seat availability and BA flight loads

Current methods to check fare/booking class availability:
  • Expertflyer.com $99 / year
  • KVS Fees vary
  • Travel Agent friends
If you are requesting flight load / class availability, please provide the following:

1. Actual travel date (don't say tomorrow, or similar, as that is ambiguous given the global flyertalk membership)
2. Departure and arrival airport codes
3. Flight number

Looking at the seat plan on Expert Flyer for that flight, there are only 3 seats available for selection in Club World, about 25% available in Premium Economy and about 60% in Economy. Bearing in mind many people may hold reservations for the flight but only select seats when online check-in opens, it is looking pretty well loaded, particularly up front.

Could someone help and let me know the current load on BA0243 22nd July to MEX in first. Currently have Avios redemption CW seats on a 241, though wanted to see the possibility of first becoming available or an upgrade on the day of travel at the airport.

BA currently have on sale four 'F' bucket seats (the most expensive) and two 'A' bucket seats (the cheapest). The two A bucket seats could well be from the 'F' bucket inventory, as the current seat plan on Expert Flyer shows 4 seats reserved (all of row 2) with the four row 1 seats currently free.

Whether or not any seats will become available for upgrade is impossible to tell, but you could always keep an eye on such as Seatspy or Reward Flight Finder or ask at the airport about an airport upgrade.

Again thank you for the clarification and advice. Will defiantly hope to upgrade at the airport if Seatspy and Reward finder aren't fruitful.
