itís been my experienced since reopening that the preparation of the poached eggs has improved very significantly (in fact I think I even commented on it in the 2021 thread when it became pretty clear this was more than random luck). Not sure whatís changed? Iím guessing they either stopped using the poaching machines or replaced them by more accurate ones.

The fish cake looks ok but itís an odd replacement for a meat dish (and I like fish a lot though less so fish cakes)

Adding photos of main menu as the choices differ slightly from those in the second (photo menu) post of this thread, as has been pointed out. No braised beef but fishcake, for example.

That menu and the one I was informed of yesterday by YouFirst for our flight to JNB on the 25th not filling myself or Mrs B with great excitement. Nothing really of great note on either menus and certainly the onboard menu not reaching great heights and more so, with the reduced catering, they should be trying harder.
Pork belly is not my idea of first class eating and the prawns for the starter seem to have been on the go for some time.
Hopefully things might have changed by the time we fly or I have been given the wrong menu
l should stop watching YouTube and seeing what is being served elsewhere .
However, still looking forward to South Africa and canít wait to be back.

First ever CCR visit and the eggs Benedict were divine. Perfectly poached. They were literally forcing the LPGS down us. Coffee was spot on.

mrs dr i_concur had the maple glazed bacon chop and egg. Gammon and egg but the breakfast version. The same she had on our first date (non breakfast version). Also highly rated.

Overall really impressed.

Sorry, forgot to take before I started devouring it!

Is this still the current situation on Gin and Tonic stocked - no Fevertree or other premium tonic?

And do they have fresh limes generally?

Thanks - I’ll have to stick to that 23year old rum with lime and coke then - I’ve had it in the Flounge. It’s delicious. That is if I haven’t drunk too much champagne and wine!

BA harmonised their full soft drinks contracts to the Coke group (which owns Schweppes) a couple of years ago and the only tonics which have been available since have been from the Schweppes range. There were quite a few threads on that at the time.

Can't wait for a pic of the Maple Glazed Bacon Chop as I am fascinated to discover it is the noun or the verb! Both delicious probably
