Not necessarily if you're using a taxi/Uber. It really depends on what part of Brooklyn you're starting in. JFK is definitely easier for much of Brooklyn, but if you're in the west side of Brooklyn then you can make it to EWR in 30-40 minutes. It's usually at least as long to get to JFK.
If you're using public transport then yes, there's no comparison. JFK is much easier.

Thanks for all the comments, folks. Very helpful. Decided I’ll keep an eye on the seating and flip to EWR if it goes back to old club world. Not been in the new Flounge at JFK yet and so that’s probably worth ticking off
