Noooo!! The clotted cream is the best part of afternoon tea. This is blasphemy.

Is it also gone from the Flounge?

Having clotted cream with the afternoon tea was clearly a huge risk with the new omicron variant. I’m surprised it ever made it back after being removed earlier in the pandemic. Decent beer in the flounce never made it back and I’d imagine that decision has saved hundreds of lives during this very difficult time.

I think BAs approach to catering at the moment makes absolute sense and is keeping people safe. Bravo BA bean counters Covid safe catering team.

For Immediate Release

BA announces today that "Afternoon Tea" has been enhanced due to feedback from customers. Following feedback from customers, it appears that butter is more appropriate for the time of day when afternoon tea is being served. BA has also received word that bread is, in fact, preferred by some customers to a scone, and we are currently considering a future change in this direction. This is in addition to some customers apparently not drinking tea! BA is constantly evaluating and reevaluating what Afternoon Tea means to its valued customers and how BA can best enhance it to meet their needs.

....but I was thinking more that you can have copious amounts of Scones, Cream and Jam in the lounge. Id prefer a deli plate on the plane mid afternoon.

If only the Ploughman's was still offered on afternoon tea flights!
Your point is fair enough if starting in London, but I seem to get afternoon tea the most when flying into London from the regions.

If there is no clotted cream, effectively you have had your wish granted !

When on earth are the CAA going to step in and remove BA’s operating license? Enough is enough, surely?
