A modest year - I had dropped to Silver after next to no OneWorld flying in late 2019 / 2020, so plan was pretty much to get back to Gold across October and November. Was super lucky that the US borders re-opened in time for my ex-VCE trip to LAX (and before the extra C-19 testing requirements coming into force) and was able to supplement this with a cheapo AS West Coast TP run whilst there. Nearer to home, added the WAW do and an INV-BHD return to pass the threshold comfortably. Aiming for GGL in 2022 though at moment map will look similar to this as all rely heavily on the USA West Coast with Asia currently being more challenging. Would like to get to Mauritius and Hong Kong/Taiwan hopefully (on CX!) if the situation changes.

A return LHR LCA in October on the A321neo which gave us a week of heat and warmth and was perfectly timed. The most beautiful sunrise during my 4 hours in GC North (which I later found out was being filmed by a lovely staff member who had left their phone on a plant pot to capture it) which was a great start to the week!
Missed my usual EDI jaunts to to see family and no work flying at all, usually manage to sneak in a GLA or a DUB for work reasons.
I managed one flight in 2020 so I can say my travel has doubled in 2021!

Most of the year I never made it out of my county. We did get abroad towards the end of the year - 1 return flight on BA, to Antigua, and 1 on Virgin to Orlando. That’s two more than lots of people I know managed so I do realise that I’ve been lucky.

I last troubled the scorers on 28th February 2020, returning from an event in Germany - the very week that Italy went into lock-down. That was my sixth flight of 2020.
I had had high hopes for 2021... but scheduled trips to Japan and India, plus several TATLs, not to mention the usual short-haul were all cancelled.
For 2022, I have an empty flight diary until mid-June when I have a couple of trips to Germany in the pipeline... otherwise, virtual meetings and events have already replaced anticipated trips to Japan, India, and the US.
I'm hoping that BA have at least one more extension in their bag...

My only flights with BA this year have been LHR-BHD-LHR.
The other flights:
- CAG-FCO-LHR with AZ
- STN-CAG with U2
- CAG-LIN-LHR with AZ (my last journey with them )
- LHR-ZRH-CAG with LX
I would’ve flown to CAG with BA had they not cancelled all flights in 2021.

As there's some comparisons of achievements going on, maybe time to ressurect this thread from last year for the 2023 totals.
With just over a month to go, my projected totals are:
Most memorable experiences: Going round the world on LCC, Alaska Milk Run and Seaplane flights, Spitfire T9 at Goodwood and Finnish DC3 flights. The Gambia.
Lots of this was held back from last year, but it's good to really feel Covid is behind us. My biggest shift has been to doing cheap flights without status, lots of fun.. But still enough BA to comfortably retain status. I'll finish around 4,600.
With just over a month to go, my projected totals are:
- Flights: 167 flown, 11 to fly, 178 total of which 53 on BA
- Mileage 155,816 flown, 5,231 to fly, 161,047 total
- 40 Airlines
- 40 types

Nada for me. With not having status to maintain I'm in no rush to travel either....not that I've got anything against that as reason anyway.
No....14 dogs, one cat, a tortoise and three houses to look after is the main reason.....oh nearly forgot the wifel!! As the Spanish Vice Consul for the area, she's been busy due to the recent changes they made regarding obtaining nationality.

Was the flying-iest year yet for me as I went for GGL and squeezed in some TP runs.
46 flights in total (including the four yet to be flown in December), 26 AA, 12 BA, the rest *A and ST.
A grand total of 41,542 miles, including 4 long-haul flights in BA F (my first time BA F and third time F overall), UUAs from CW worked really well for me.
The most memorable were the last few flights taking me from Gold to GGL in early September, when I was on FRA-LHR-LAX-JFK.
Eternally grateful to the agents who changed my CDG-LHR-ORD-JFK ticket bit by bit (lots of CDG-LHR cancellations and some AA ones) and turned it into that fun trip.
