Will I lose my extra baggage allowance?
Apologies ..... I have searched for an answer on here and BA.com, but with no success
I am currently gold status and I have booked a flight from BOS to LHR in business in a few months. So the booking is showing as having a baggage allowance of 3 bags (the normal 2 for Business Class and an extra bag as a gold exec club member).
However, by the time I fly I will be silver - as (like a lot of people) with COVID restrictions I haven't been able to fly enough to retain gold status
Will the badges allowance be recalculated when I lose gold? So only 2 bags by the time I fly? or is the baggage allowance 'locked in' at the time of booking?
(This is probably the only time in over 10 years when I know I will need 3 suitcases!)

It's based on status when you fly unfortunately. Are you not covered by status extensions?
