Amenity Kits in Club World
I returned from MLE (Maldives) the other day in Club World and no amenity kits were handed out, but we did receive them on our outward flight in First. Having not flown for 18 months I was wondering if this was something lost with covid, or just an anomaly on this flight?

Its no big deal, I probably wouldn't have opened it and would have given it to a friend anyway. My partner in the other aisle didn't get one either, so it wasn't just one attendant - I guess they must have just forgot to load them or something. Interesting you mention that about the pasta, it happened on my flight too! I went for the Maldivian fish option anyway which was perfectly nice, but I guess it sounded more 'specialised' so put people off and they all wanted pasta.

On a recent trip to DXB handed out on outbound but on the return nothing appeared and when I spoke to the attendant he said they didn't have enough so were only handing out to those who asked.

Yes there have been stock issues as a result of supply / distribution shortage. Crew have received a message about it several months ago. It was more acute then, but seemingly supply issue is still ongoing, including other onboard items.

It has been a little inconsistent recently for some reason. Twice last year when going to/from BLR, the CC came around twice, thus giving 2 x kits to everyone.
r.e. running out of pasta - yes that's bad, but imagine my horror on the IST to LHR route when CC informed everyone that no tea or coffee had been loaded and therefore only juice/water was available for the breakfast service.

Had Amenity kits from both LHR to MLE and MLE to LHR, no issues.

I had an odd one back in November. Flew F outbound and was given the 'green' edition bag. Do we have a new color yet? It's been green for months.
Inside was a F eye mask but everything else was J contents including the pen.
The return was all back to normal.
