Triple checked - don't think I've missed anything but looks like tomorrow's BA456 to MAD has switched out to an A320. I was booked on that but had a last minute change to FRA.

Expertflyer showing a320 seat plan for that flight.
Flightradar suggesting a320 G-EUYD will operate the flight.

What's the risk of the FRA BA908/909 on 13/11/21 also switching out? Now I am sub 24hrs on my outbound, can I still cancel to a voucher on an Avios ticket if there's a last minute change?

with less than 24hrs to go your option now is a FTV which you can request anytime up to when check in closes.

For an avios booking within 24 hours of departure, some agents may allow a change of date on the same route, effectively cutting out the need to issue an FTV and then redeem it. It does require avios availability on the new date.
Worth mentioning you’re only doing the flight because it’s an a380 but that’s not automatic grounds to change.

Thanks - so far BA908/9 is still showing A380, so hoping it will stay that way...

I took this morning's FRA rotation there and back.

There was a good atmosphere onboard, with many along just for the ride. An absolutely fantastic crew, easily one of my best flights in a while.. a few of the crew were doing tours around the aircraft for whoever wanted.

Everyone onboard very happy to see the A380 back!

By any chance did this include F and the upper deck? I had considered asking for a wee look upstairs on my MAD-LHR at the end of the month (as it will be my first time on an A380), but wasn't sure if it was going to be off limits or not. Might just ask politely - expect a "no" and anything else will be a pleasant surprise.

Yes, we were allowed to go up to the upper deck (accompanied of course) and they were enthusiastic about cockpit visits upon arrival at each end too. There were travelling engineers in F but it wasn't an issue to sit in the seats for a minute or two. Obviously can't guarantee it would be the same on your flight but worth asking. Even got given an A380 sticker by the flight crew!

There appeared to be a series of guided tours occurring on XLEG to Madrid this afternoon.
Disappointingly my return tomorrow is now an A320.....typically the leg I upgraded!

As we landed we passed at least 3 parked BA A380s

Same for our flight next Sunday but still showing as A380 on Expert Flyer. My girlfriend will be livid if it gets switched out for an A320 (I'll be a bit less fussed as I do quite a bit of long haul flying for fun so will likely get plenty of other bashes of the A380).

I was due to fly MAD-LHR-FRA tomorrow. I only opened FlyerTalk when I was at the 3 hours ago to fly DUB-MAD. I lost the money for that flight but got FTVs for the A380 flights. I don't want to risk LHR-FRA also getting changed and the MAD-LHR leg was in business.
Wish I had looked at this thread earlier and I wouldn't have gone to the airport
