How early can I check-in hold luggage?

Specifically, can I check-in luggage at T5 five hours ahead of a European flight?

Anytime from 0500 onwards on the day of the flight, or you can even check it in the day before from 1600.

Is there still the requirement that your flight departs before 13.00 the next day if checking in the night before?

Good question. I am not sure. I got the impression that may have been relaxed, but I may well be wrong so yes I guess for now the assumption may be twilight bag drop is only for flights before 1300.

My flight is 13:35 so I'd better not rely on being able to check-in the night before.

That requirement must have been removed. I've just been texted that I can check in between 16:00 - 21:00 the night before, for my 13:35 flight the next day.

I’m pretty sure the requirement was largely driven by the capacity of T5 storage. I’m guessing that lower flight levels mean this is less of a problem.
