I filled it in and got the invitation. Nothing more personal than email address and last employer - not sure why they needed that but I don't have a problem.

Date of Birth also requested which is weird.
Of course you don't have to provide your actual DOB as no one will check...

If anyone cannot attend but would have liked to do so, pop me a DM and I'll see what I can do.

Is anyone attending this event having problems joining?

I’ve joined the Teams Live event but only seeing a message saying “The live event has not started” despite the programme indicating the event would start at 12:15.

That was so interesting. I've heard the ATC on Youtube so many times but to have it explained was eye-opening. I didn't realise those where phone calls to NATS and thought it was just some lady at Heathrow who had no idea what was going on. Do you have a picture of the big red crash button?

It wasn't recorded unfortunately.

Try the podcasts mentioned upthread if you want an alternative discussion with Heathrow Tower on the subject.

Heathrow Tower wonderfully interesting talk and insights today. Thank you.
Was a great lunchtime in an otherwise frustrating day for me!

Quick question (I had to leave pronto at the end of the talk, sorry) - how long did it take to repair the runway lights and instruments that BA38 swept aside? - You indicated the full runway was reopened soon after the wreckage was moved, but how was new equipment sourced and installed so quickly?

For those who missed this talk, there was one on the NATS Altitude podcast this week which also discussed the incident. This one was recorded and is available on YouTube now to watch
