BA at Manchester

MAN airport website for BA info (including security wait times): https://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/...itish-airways/

Terminal and check-in desks:

All BA flights depart and arrive at Terminal 3.

Departure:

Fast Track security is available, subject to usual BA rules. It works pretty well most of the time, but do check before you join the fast track lane if it's a single lane to avoid taking longer in fast track than in the normal lanes.

According to the airport, the following retail and food offerings are available in Terminal 3: World Duty Free, KFC, Lion & Antelope, Costa, WHSmith, Boots, The Nook, Kiosco and Pork & Pickle

Lounges:

The Escape Lounge in T3 is available for BA passengers. As with the previous arrangement at T3, we assume Escape will allow access along usual BA eligibility rules (class of travel and / or status), including 2 guests for GGL and Premier cardholders. The lounge is open from 04:00 and closes at 19:45 each day except Saturdays when it will close at 17:30.

Gates:

Flights typically depart from from Gate 142 or 143.

Boarding is generally prioritised by Groups.

Arrivals:

Flights land at Terminal 3. Travelex and WHSmith will be open in Terminal 3 Arrivals.

Flights tend to arrive at Gates 142 or 143, with an airbridge to the terminal. There is a flight of steps down to ground level once in the terminal.
Baggage collection is at Terminal 3

I wonder if you will be able to still checkin through T1 and walk to T3 after Saturday, I suspect not? At the moment you can get to T3 without going outside (and experiencing Manchester weather) if coming from the station 😀

If you’re HBO could you go through T1 security and then then take the internal route to T3 if you’ve arrived in T1 mistakenly instead of T3?

Apparently T3 fully reopens this Friday

https://www.manchestereveningnews.co...-open-23722170

Manchester Airport's Terminal Three will fully reopen this week to meet demand which has led to huge queues, delays and misery for passengers over recent months. Terminal Three, which was closed during the pandemic, has been partially reopen since March 27 for some arriving passengers, but will reopen fully on Friday (April 22).
All passengers flying out with Aurigny, British Airways, Eastern Airways, Iberia Express, Loganair, Ryanair and Vueling will check in at the Terminal Three entrance. All arrivals into the airport with those airlines will also go through the Terminal Three building.

That’s certainly consistent with the information in MMB for a flight I’m taking on 29 April, but nothing on the MAN airport website, that still instructs passengers to checkin at T1. Hopefully MAN will update its website soon.

It’s the same for 29 April when searching for flights, but in (my) MMB it shows T3 as the departure terminal. It really is confusing, and MAN needs to update its website and remove the chaos that will ensue come Friday if it doesn’t!

At best I can only see them changing the type of chaos, not removing it...

At least the walk outside from T1 to/from T3 is only 5 minutes or so but not good if you have luggage and it’s raining (as it normally is in Manchester).

Yep arrived from LGW last week into T3 at MAN and had to walk across ‘goat trail’ to the Station for train into Manchester. Drizzling rain and uneven surface was a challenge.

Mind you I may have had a negative attitude after waiting 1hour and 20mins for luggage to arrive!

thanks for heads up. Flying on Friday on 1385 at 06.55 and according to MMB we are still departing T1. Wonder how many people won’t know about this and still go to T1.

Flying out of MAN tomorrow (20th April) with BA so will see if I can get any clarification from staff on this. As previously stated MAN weather can make departure/arrival at T3 challenging
