BA codeshare added to Teesside-Heathrow
BA will codeshare on the Loganair MME-LHR starting 1 July so we have a new domestic destination on the BA route map!
LM operates a triple weekday MME-LHR service into terminal 2 (currently double daily but does to triple daily effective 12 July) - a total of 18 flights a week. Not all flights are loaded yet and I can't book a connection on elsewhere but things are happening on ba.com
Personally this is fantastic news and is a big boost for the Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire area.

This is a great boost for the Tees Valley area however I noticed it was not possible to book an itinerary with onward connection from LHR in any class other than Y.
I spoke to both BA and Loganair who said it was simply not possible, but could not say why.
However I eventually managed to book the required itinerary (MME-LHR-MAD-LHR-MME) in J for the LHR-MAD / MAD-LHR legs and Y for the MME-LHR / LHR-MME legs all as one ticket with one BA booking reference via Expedia.
Also not sure of the situation for Avios / TPs as in MMB I am told I will earn only 80 TPs and 3,930 Avios...so doesn't look like its included the Loganair legs.

This could help to mitigate the loss of LBA for BA customers in North and West Yorkshire. Current options (MAN, NCL, DSA) are all uncomfortably long drives with unpredictable traffic delays. I'd probably try it if they sort out through-ticketing in J/F.

I think the reason is for the moment the earning table for the MME route isn't populated, hence on MMB it won't show as earning anything on the BA codeshare yet.

With my son and family ‘oop North (Bedale area) we’ve tried several ways if getting there from JER. MAN, LBA, DSA and MME have all featured! August looks like a direct (non-BAEC) direct hop with Jet2 to LBA again.
TR: BA Club Europe and Domestic - to the Frozen North and (eventually) back South.

MME - LHR routing
Does anybody know why they flew so far west ?
It looks pretty similar everyday, so presumably not weather related.
Is there an ATC restriction on flying a more direct route ?
